Website maintenance
A single monthly plan covering updates, security, backups and every change your business needs — sent by WhatsApp, in whichever language your team prefers.

A website is a liability if nobody looks after it. This plan takes the lot: platform and security updates, backups, monitoring, and every content change you need, all year, for one fixed monthly figure. You get on with running the business, and the site keeps working while you do.
A real example
Holiday-let and property manager, Nerja and Frigiliana · forty properties, two staff
What they were doing
Seasonal information lived in three places: a website nobody could edit, a WhatsApp thread with forty owners, and the memory of whoever happened to be on duty. Opening arrangements changed constantly between November and March, and long-stay winter enquiries were being answered from a page written two years earlier.
What we set up
Reusable property templates that we update on their behalf, seasonal pages for the winter and summer periods in both languages, and every change coming to us by message instead of through an editor. Their channel manager and booking feed stayed exactly where they were — we link to them rather than rebuild them.
What changed
Winter enquiries started arriving from people looking to stay for two or three months rather than a week, which is the trade that carries those months. Owners stopped sending photographs of pages to have a single word corrected.
Worth knowing: We don't manage the bookings themselves. That stays with the channel manager they've always used, and pretending otherwise would have meant replacing a system that works perfectly well.

Where AI belongs in maintenance, and where it has no business
Two quite different situations get filed under the same heading. If your website is expensive because a person retypes the same small change every week, automate that change and the fee pays for itself. If it's expensive because it's patched, backed up and watched — which is what maintenance mostly is — then you need engineering, and no clever tool is going to help.
Small failures, quietly, in the background
They fail quietly. A booking form that quietly stopped sending three weeks ago. A certificate that expired on a Sunday. An update that shifted a layout by four pixels and made the phone number unclickable. Catching those early is the whole job, and it costs a fraction of what it costs once a customer has found them for you.
Send the change on WhatsApp
The old way was an email attachment and a description. It doesn't have to be that way, and on this coast it usually isn't. Photograph the menu board, forward the screenshot of the page that needs changing, draw an arrow on it and send it across. That is a complete brief. We make the change, and if we think something else on that page is wrong while we're in there we'll tell you — but we don't do it without asking.
Updates applied quietly, then checked
A site nobody updates is the commonest reason a small business gets hit, and the attack is almost never personal — it is opportunistic, and it is thoroughly dull. Somebody's script found the gap and moved on to the next thousand sites. Updates go in on a schedule, and then we look at the site properly afterwards, because an update that quietly breaks your booking form is worse than the hole it closed.
Backups you can rely on
Copies are taken automatically and kept on different infrastructure from the site, so a compromised server can't wipe them out at the same time. We also test a restore rather than trusting that one exists — because the standard failure goes like this: something breaks, the host says 'we have backups', and then nobody can produce one.
Winter is when this earns its keep
Between November and March there is time to fix things properly and almost nobody does. It's when a restaurant can photograph its winter menu without panic, when a letting agent can build next summer's pages while nobody is competing for attention, and when a site that has been quietly broken since August finally gets found. If we're looking after it, that happens without you having to remember to ask.
A real person on the end of the phone
When something breaks you want a phone number and a person who can fix it — not a ticket reference and an answer three working days later. We're on the coast, we pick up, and we can be in there while you still have customers trying to reach you.
What’s included
- Software and security updates, applied on a schedule
- Automatic off-server backups, tested rather than assumed
- Every content change you ask for, when you ask for it
- Speed, uptime and security monitoring
- A Spanish mobile number and WhatsApp, answered by a person
Why it matters
- Fewer emergencies and fewer surprised customers
- A site that always reflects what you actually sell
- More of your week spent on the work, not the website
Often useful alongside this
- Website hosting if the hosting is the actual problem — we'll say so rather than selling you a plan.
- Website editor for the one-off change on a site that isn't on a plan at all.
- AI for business if the manual updates are the thing eating your maintenance budget.
- Security & data protection check for a one-off look at the gaps — before you're on a plan at all.
Common questions
- What does the plan actually cover?
- Updates, backups, uptime monitoring, security checks, unlimited small content changes and a direct line to us. Anything larger gets agreed with you beforehand. Nothing is billed as a surprise, and nothing substantial happens without a conversation first.
- My site never changes — do I still need this?
- More often than people expect, yes. A site nobody touches still needs updating, backing up and watching for intrusion, and that's what stops it breaking or being walked into. Content changes are the easy part.
- How fast will you come back to me?
- Same working day for anything currently costing you enquiries, and we'll say so plainly if something can wait for tomorrow. A message that arrives in German at midnight is answered in German the next morning.
- Can you adopt a site somebody else built?
- Yes, and it's a large part of what we do. We review what's there first and say whether it's worth carrying on with. Sometimes the honest verdict is that a rebuild would serve the business better, and we'd rather give you that answer than keep maintaining something that isn't earning what it costs.
