Websites for beach clubs, gastro bars and cafés

A café or bar website is used in two completely different situations. Someone is standing in the queue, one-handed, on a bad connection. Someone else is on a sofa in a hotel planning tomorrow. Both are asking the same three questions, and both should be answered before they have to ask.

1

Open now, where, and do I need a table

Are you open. Where exactly. Can I get a table. On this coast the first question is genuinely seasonal and the second is a real problem, because a terrace behind a hotel in Nueva Andalucía and a kiosk on the beach road in Zahara are not the same place. A map that lands on the right door, hours that match reality today, and a clear answer about tables will do more for a Saturday than any photograph.

2

The QR menu on the table is not your website

A menu answers one question at a time, for people already sitting in front of you. A website handles everyone else: a group of eight looking for Sunday brunch, someone planning a birthday with a cake, a couple deciding where to spend an evening, a taxi driver who needs the address in plain text. Those are the bookings that pay for a quiet February, and none of them ever reach the QR code.

3

Terrace weather means the site has a season too

A chiringuito opens in April, peaks in August and shuts in October. A gastro bar serves a different menu in January. If your site says the same thing all year, you will be found by people who arrive at a closed gate, and your Google profile will disagree with your website, which is the combination that quietly damages local search. We build the season in: opening dates, closing dates, winter menus, and a simple way to change them.

4

Nobody behind a bar is updating a website at 19:00

You are busy, and the website is not going to be on your list. It does not need to be. Send us a photograph of the new chalkboard, a voice note about the special, a text when the hours change, and we will make it — usually the same day. That is the whole reason sites like this stay accurate instead of quietly rotting.

5

Instagram is a feed, not an address

A feed is good at what it does. It is not searchable the way a website is, it disappears when an account is lost, it cannot be printed or quoted in a message to a friend, and it does not answer 'are you open' to somebody planning a visit. Keep the feed. Give it a link to something you own.

6

The review that fills a quiet Wednesday

Ask at the table, at the moment somebody says they had a good time — not a month later by email. On a coast where the summer is a given and the winter is the problem, a steady trickle of genuine reviews is what puts you in front of someone deciding where to spend an evening in November, rather than in front of the obvious summer option.

Common questions

We only have Instagram. Do we still need a website?
Yes, for the people already planning their day. Instagram gets you discovered; a site is what someone opens when they have decided to come, when they are checking the hours, sending the address to a taxi driver, or asking about a table. A short, good site is not expensive.
Can you do a proper site cheaply for a small bar?
Yes. A focused four or five page site with your menu, your hours, your photographs and a booking route can be built for the lower end of the range — from around €600 with IVA. We will tell you if a single page would serve you better than five.
We open seasonally. Can you handle that?
It is the normal case here. We publish your opening and closing dates, adjust how Google sees you as those dates change, and put up a closing notice that is honest and dated rather than a page that looks abandoned. It is a bigger deal for your search results than it sounds.
Can you put our PDF menu on the site as it is?
We can, but it is rarely the best answer. A PDF is hard to read on a phone, slow, and impossible to update. We rebuild the menu so it loads fast, shows allergens clearly, includes IVA in the prices, and can be changed in a sentence when a dish or a price moves.
Will you manage our Google profile too?
Yes — the details, the photographs, the posts, and above all the opening hours, which is where a seasonal business on this coast usually goes wrong. We will ask you for the real dates rather than a set of permanent hours that are wrong for half the year.
How quickly can you change a price or a special?
Same day, in most cases. Send it in whatever form is easiest — a photograph, a voice note, a screenshot of your board — and we will make the change and keep the menu consistent everywhere it appears.
